Who doesn’t love a glass of ice cold refreshing detox water?
Adding mint to your water is a great way to stay hydrated while reaping the benefits mint has to offer. Although there are tons of different fruits and veggies you can add to your water to detoxify your body. Mint has such a refreshing taste that I truly enjoy adding to my water whenever I can. I used to always have lemon or lime but you can always combine a couple of fruits and veggies to mix it up. My personal favorite whenever I feel I want something a little sweeter is strawberries and mint, such a great combo.
Mint is known for helping with digestion, if there is any indigestion or inflammation in the body. Since mint helps with any inflammation, this means it helps with the circulation in your body. I had a lot of inflammation with my face and I feel anytime I have mint in my daily routine it really helps the redness and congestion in my face. Since I love mint I added peppermint into my face cleanser and my face feels so refreshed, it is absolutely amazing. Anything that has mint really makes my skin feel so refreshed and feeling more breathable.
If your skin is feeling dull or your muscles are extremely sore try using a lotion that has peppermint in it, it will help with relieving pain and soothing the body. Peppermint oil on the skin gives a tingly and cooling effect. Don’t use too much on your skin in the winter after a hot shower if you do not want to be cold. I made the mistake of doing that and I was freezing for an hour, but in the summer it feels so nice especially on a really hot day.
If you want a natural alternative to gum, try chewing on some mint leaves for fresher breathe. I know this isn’t probably the most appealing but it does give a fresh scent.
